Extra-virgin olive oil first press. Harvested early during October rather than November to preserve all the polyphenols and vitamins. It is produced from a sole kind of olive (Olivastra Seggianese). Its low acidity point (0.1%), fruity flavor with a gentle spicy finishing makes this one of the most rewarded Italian olive oils. Award winner of the Golden Lion (the most important award for oils) in 1999, 2001, and 2005. It is your perfect companion in dipping and dressings. Cooking with this oil would be a real waste, instead enjoy it fresh on fish, on strong-flavoured salads, grilled chicory...or as a dip on raw artichokes. Amazing for home-made mayonnaise, oil-preserved vegetables and baking.
Fragrance: intense fruity aroma, opening to the nose with elegant and strong aroma of green olive, fresh and pungent grassy scent with hints of artichoke and cardoon , predominance of elegant notes of roasted coffee. Taste: intensely fruity, fresh, grassy, pungent, complex. Decisively bitter and peppery, harmonious, elegant and well structured, with a fresh rich finish of spicy grass. - OLIVASTRA SEGGIANESE lightly fruity -> sole kind of olive (Olivastra Seggianese), low acidity point (0.12%), light flavour, clear scent of olives, a touch of artichoke and ripe banana, a fresh and delicate scent, typical of Olivastra.
- LE TREBBIANE Medium fruity -> blend of 4 different kinds of olives (Olivastra, Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo), medium flavour, fresh, lightly pungent-bitterish with a hint of grass and artichoke, reminescent to a lesser extent tomato and celery. Low acidity point (0.16%).
- VILLA MAGRA Intense fruity -> intense vegetable flavour, with a prevalence of artichoke, a definite and balanced combination of bitter and spicy with the persistent aromatic and spicy after-taste. Low acidità points (0.16%).
